YOU HARVEST WHAT YOU HAVE SOWN

TEXT: HOSEA 10: 12-13
“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for [it is] time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.”

                You cannot plant rice and harvest corn or peanuts, you can only harvest rice from where it has been planted, likewise all other seeds. This principle also applies to life; you get what you have given; only that it will be multiplied when you are getting it in return. Luke 6:38 says “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” By how much your harvest will be multiplied depends only on GOD, 1Corinthians 3:6 says “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. “ So whatever it is that you do; be sure that you will to get a multiple of it, whether good or bad. It is so because that is how GOD has made it, you could read that Luke 6 from 36 to 38. Even if what you are giving is money or any other material thing; you will get a multiple fold in return, this is the truth, the only way to proof it is to believe it and you will see it. Luke 1:4 says “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.” If you believe, there shall be a performance of what you are expecting.

                Whatever it is that you want to do; always do what you will like others to do to you, because it will be multiplied when people will do such to you.

                If you are not yet born again; you are only planting wickedness and sin; all you will reap is punishment unless you let go of your sins and accept that JESUS has come to this world to take away your sins and save you from eternal destruction, take HIM as your LORD and promise HIM that you will not commit anymore sin. If you have done this, sincerely confessing it with your mouth, then I congratulate you because you are now born again and so a child of GOD; go and sin no more.

FRUITS

TEXT: “Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.” (Matthew 7:17) KJV

                As a person, it is possible for you to have fruits; the Bible likened our characters and behaviors to fruits. As you already know; a good fruit can only come from a good tree, it is not possible to have oranges growing on pawpaw tree, so trees are identified by the fruits they produce. Also, humans too can be identified by the fruits that they yield, way they do things, the way they think, talk, relate with other, and so on, even by the way people relate with GOD you could identify them as either the children of GOD or not.

                What fruits are you producing? Are you producing good fruits or the bad ones? Remember from the text; only good trees can bring forth good fruits, now I will ask; are you a good tree? The 19^th verse of Matthew chapter 7 says;” Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” (KJV), this means that; anyone that refuses to be a good tree will be cast into the lake of fire. Please do not assume that you are producing good fruits already, check yourself and be sure of your stand, because 2Timothy 2:19 says; “ Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. “(KJV), this verse of the Bible makes us to understand that; GOD knows HIS own people, and the people of GOD are those that have good fruits. These fruits can be seen in Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. “(KJV), while the manifestations of the flesh are bad fruits, these can be seen in the same Galatians chapter 7 but verses 19-21 which says “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.“ (KJV).

                It is only those that know GOD and do HIS will that will be considered as having good fruits, so start bearing good fruits today.

                If you have never at any time given your life to CHRIST by accepting HIM and confessing HIM as your SAVIOR, It is good for you to do so today, because without HIM, you cannot have good fruits. To accept CHRIST, say this prayer.

MERCIFUL GOD

Text: PSALMS (103:8): The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

                GOD is merciful to everybody in so many ways, come to think of it; despite all our sins and many wrongs we do over and over again, yet HE has not withdrawn HIS journey mercy from us, and HE still keeps us from evil. Our text tells us that HE is a merciful GOD who is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy.

                Looking at our lives; the only factor that keeps us alive is the sure mercies of GOD, Psalms 103 says Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Psalms 103:2-4 (KJV).

                Considering all that the mercies of GOD has brought to our lives; we must always do all we can to remain at peace with GOD, because if GOD continues to have mercy upon us, but we continue in sin, HE might close HIS eyes of mercy, but it really does not have to get to that point so that there will not be a regret at the end. If you have always been taking the mercies of GOD for granted, change today, and I pray GOD will help you as you do so. A very good way to appreciate the mercies of GOD is to praise HIM, HE is always happy when people praise HIM, also acknowledge all HE has done for you and thank HIM for them all.
