LOVE AND PRIORITY

TEXT: 1JOHN 2:15

        ” Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. “

What you love takes high priority in your heart; this is because you are always thinking about it. It might even be someone in your life. The bible made us to know from our text that we are not to love the world. How can this be? Is God telling us not to love the world? Actually what we are not to love are not the people of this world but the things of this world; pride and lust of all kinds. When you are chasing pride, you forget God because, to please God, you cannot be proud. Proverbs 16:5 says “Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.” God does not like proud people. When you are acquiring possessions just to be able to show off and be proud to people, there is a very great tendency of you forgetting about God, so watch.

                In 1John 2:15-17, we are made to know by the bible that; all the things of this world shall pass away, only those that do the will of God will abide forever, it is actually possible to live forever in the presence of God. No one can live forever in this world, the world is just so temporal, whatever you have in this world is for only the short while you will spend on earth.

                There is eternal joy in the presence of God for those that will love Him and do His will always, also there is eternal damnation for those that will not do His will, there will be continuous sorrow and pains.

WHO ARE YOU?

TEXT: 2TIMOTHY 2:19

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

Who are you really? Are you a child of God indeed, or someone that claims to be? Or are you someone that does not even like God, or someone that does not know GOD at all? Whomsoever you are, God knows you.

All things were made by God, John 1:1-3 says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. “and HE has all the control over everything, HE can change and unchanged things, even situations that seem unchangeable, it does not has to be physically or scientifically possible, HE created all things and HE can manipulate anything anyhow, Mark 10:27 says “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.”

Why have I said all these? I just want to tell you that, God is real, HIS blessings are real and HIS punishments too are real. HE is a sovereign God, HE loves the whole world, whoever you are, your race or tribe does not matter, HE created you, so HE loves you. HE sent HIS only Son JESUS to die for our sins, because HE hates sin, John 3:16 says; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” and anything that has sin cannot stand before HIM, Psalms 24:3-5 says; “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.” After everything in this world, we all will be judged by God, and it is only those that are without sin that will not be punished for eternity. Everyone is a sinner until you ask God to forgive your sins, you remain a sinner, Romans 3:23 says; “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” once you accept GOD into your life, He will be involved in all that has to do with you and He will help you each time you need, He just wants you to love Him.
